QUESTION: New electrical poles are being installed on the west side of Highway 332 from Randalls to Flag Ridge. There were no existing poles in this area. What existing electrical service in the area will these new poles replace?
ANSWER: Due to the overpasses being installed and the subsequent changes to the ground elevations required by the Texas Department of Transportation’s road development program, a number of existing power line crossings could not be maintained in their current locations.
CenterPoint Energy’s Distribution Planning Department conducted a study of the existing power lines and developed a plan to reconfigure the lines so that crossings could be made at locations where TxDOT’s final grade of the land would allow us to cross.
