Watson suspended by Pearland ISD

PEARLAND — Pearland ISD Director of Athletics Mike Watson was suspended with pay Aug. 20 for bringing a weapon onto district property.

Neither Watson or Pearland ISD Superintendent Bonny Cain returned calls to The Facts.

Watson was suspended pending an investigation on the incident that happened sometime after the 2009 school year.

Legal counsel is expected to present a report at a school board meeting Sept. 3.
