Angleton band, BISD maintain links to success
On a fall Friday night, lasting memories were made at Wildcat Stadium in Angleton and at Hopper Field in Freeport. But it’s not the kind of memories you might expect during football season, though both Angleton and Brazoswood are in the midst of successful seasons that see them playoff-bound.

Increase in fundraisers sign of the times
According to The Bridgespan Group, 52 percent of nonprofit groups had reported cuts last November in funding. A survey by Bridgespan — a philanthropic agency that helps nonprofit groups make strategies and find executives — showed that number had increased to 69 percent in June.
